We know many amazing charities are vying for your attention today. If you plan on giving, please consider LHTC! We are working hard to elevate running in the DMV and would be very grateful for your support. In 2025, we aim to host three high-level community-to-pro events: two track meets and a cross-country meet. We need your help to make this happen! Our goal is to transform the DC-MD-VA running community by increasing the number of community events that attract the best runners in our area, region, and nation while giving everyone an opportunity to compete. If you enjoyed the Down the Stretch Track Fest, here’s your chance to ensure we can host that event again and make it bigger and better. Plus, Girls on The Run Northern Virginia is our 2025 benefactor! We will donate 5% of the proceeds from our fundraiser to GOTR NOVA to support future programming. Partnerships like these highlight our commitment to building a community that will expand the sport of distance running from your TV to your local track. It was a banner day for the Light Horse Track Club in Richmond last weekend! Four club records, lots of PRs, and great performances to celebrate. Jack Ikenberry @jikenberry led the way by breaking the tape in his debut half marathon, in his hometown, in a club record of 1:07:01! Anna Campbell @annaaacampbell24 finished 5th on the women’s side and broke the women’s club record in 1:21:00. Both of the club’s 8k records were set — Matt Celsa (25:14) and Sabrina Zator @brina_runnergrl (29:05).
